One-on-One

Support

One-on-one sessions are my most personalized offering. They bring together the depth of therapeutic work with the insight and practical support of coaching. It’s a space to make sense of what you’re feeling, explore what’s getting in the way, and move toward the kind of life you
truly want.

Hard things can get easier.
Wounds can heal.
Habits can change.
Old patterns can soften.
Automatic reactions can be rewired.
Relationships can repair and deepen.
You can feel more peace inside.
You can learn to love who you are.
And you don’t have to do it alone.

What Working
Together

Every session is a 55-minute space devoted fully to you. We slow down and turn inward. Together, we explore what’s been shaping your reactions, your relationships, and your sense of self.

We welcome what’s here… the thoughts, feelings, inner voices, longings… not to fix them, but to understand and honor what they’re trying to tell you. From that understanding, the patterns that keep you stuck can begin to soften and new possibilities begin to emerge.

The nesting dolls you see here represent something central to my one-on-one work: the understanding that we are made up of many inner parts.

Some parts carry pain. Some protect us. Some learned to adapt a long time ago. None of them are wrong. And none of them need to be fixed or pushed away.

Looks Like

In our work, we take the time to understand these parts… because when we feel understood internally, things often begin to soften naturally. And that’s when healing from the inside out begins.

Our work together  may include:

  • Parts work (Internal Family Systems/IFS-informed)

  • Mindfulness-based and nervous system regulation tools

  • Somatic awareness

  • Reflective prompts and practical strategies

  • Honest conversation and relational support

This isn’t a quick-fix kind of work. It’s a meaningful process that makes real change possible over time. Sessions are available via Zoom, phone, or in person for individuals or couples.

A limited number of supported-rate spots are available.

Some Places
We Might Begin

People come to this work for all kinds of reasons. Some are going through something hard, feeling overwhelmed, or finding themselves stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change. Others are doing mostly okay but want a place to sort through what they’re feeling, understand themselves more deeply, or get support with a relationship, decision, or season of life.

Sometimes there’s one clear place to begin. Sometimes several things feel tangled together. And sometimes, you just know you could use a little more support and care. These are a few places we might begin, not a complete list. We’ll start with whatever feels most present or important to you.

Your Relationship With Yourself

For when self-criticism, perfectionism, or self-doubt have become loud, and you want to build a more understanding, caring, and loving relationship with yourself.

Sensitivity, Overwhelm & Big Feelings

For when you feel things deeply, your mind feels loud, your nervous system feels overloaded, or your emotions feel hard to understand or sort through, especially if you’ve often felt like you’re “too much” or somehow not enough.

Relationships, Boundaries & Communication

For when a relationship with a romantic partner, family member, friend, or someone else close to you leaves you feeling hurt, resentful, confused, or disconnected and you want help understanding what’s happening, communicating what you need, or figuring out what to do next.

Heartbreak, Loss & Life Transitions

For when something has ended, changed, or hasn’t unfolded in the way you hoped and you need space to grieve, make sense of what happened, and find your footing again.

Patterns That Keep Repeating

For when you know what you want to do differently but keep returning to the same reactions, habits, or choices, and you want to understand what keeps the pattern going so you can begin to respond differently.

Clarity, Direction & Self-Trust

For when you feel disconnected from yourself, caught between options, or afraid of making the wrong choice, and you want to get clearer about what you want and move forward with more confidence.

Why I Do This Work

I know what it’s like to look for happiness in all the expected places and still feel like something’s missing. I also know what it’s like to build a life that feels rooted, meaningful, and real over time.

My work is grounded in both psychology and my own lived experience, and guided by the belief that real healing and happiness are possible for all of us, no matter where we’re starting from.

Whatever brings you here, we begin with what’s most real and important
for you now.

In Their Words

  • At the beginning of my session with Dr Sophia, I felt a bit nervous because I had never done this type of work before. I also felt hopeful that, with her expertise, healing might be possible. Our time together more than met my expectations. Even after just one session, I experienced real comfort around some long-time hurts and saw the potential for genuine healing and happiness through this work. Dr. Sophia herself overflows with compassion and kindness. She puts you at ease and demonstrates authentic care with a complete absence of any judgment.

    — Rich M., Arkansas

  • Before I started working with Sophia, I was in a difficult place mentally and dealing with several health issues. I knew I wanted things to change, but I lacked the support, accountability, and guidance to make that healing happen. In Sophia, I found a kind, resourceful, and exceptional listener. She offered unconditional support and deep understanding, no matter what I brought into our sessions. Through her guidance, I learned to embrace all of my emotional experiences and welcome every part of myself – a transformative and invaluable skill I continue to use as I grow.

    — Noon M., Bangkok, Thailand

  • What brought me to Dr. Sophia was finding myself stuck in several important relationships, even after years of reading self-help literature and seeking advice from other sources. What I found with her was someone who deeply listened, acknowledged my concerns and helped me recognize roadblocks. Through IFS techniques, I began to explore the roots of my feelings and behaviors. During that process, I grew to know myself better, appreciate my strengths, and gain tools to work on weaknesses. I then felt ready to take the next step forward in healing my relationship with myself and others. Dr. Sophia is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and caring psychologist who has a gift for helping people find peace and happiness in their lives.

    — Rochelle W., Idaho

  • When I came to Dr Sophia, I was stuck in cycles of emotion that I couldn’t understand, that felt uncontrollable, and that were impacting my happiness and ability to be present in my relationship. She helped me identify feelings, give space to them, recognize my negative thought loops, learn what my needs and boundaries were, and communicate them with more ease and acceptance. With each passing session, I went from feeling a lot of repressed anger, pain, and confusion to being able to interrupt painful thought patterns. I look forward to continuing this work, and have referred Dr Sophia to numerous friends.

    — Jana C., California

  • Sophia knows exactly when to listen and when to guide. She has this incredible gift- being able to sit with you, gently and compassionately, while also offering wisdom that feels spot-on. She helped me name what I was feeling, understand where it was coming from, and respond in a way that finally felt empowering.

    — Jennifer D., Illinois

  • Dr. Sophia exudes warmth, compassion, and unconditional love. She’s a special woman. You can feel how much she truly cares, and she holds space with such insight and grace. I felt seen and supported every step of the way.
