A Note from Sophia
My story begins with a girl, a journal, and a longing to understand herself and life.
When I was little, I filled diaries with everyday thoughts about family, crushes, and feelings that I didn’t yet have language for. Later, as a teenager, I discovered Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul – my first guided journal – and a new world opened up. I realized writing could be more than an outlet. It could be a teacher, a mirror, a guide, and a way to understand myself.
That discovery stayed with me. Through many seasons of learning and growing, journaling became a place I returned to that helped me soften, grow, and make sense of my inner world.
Over time, I began to see that true happiness doesn’t come from chasing highs or pretending everything’s okay. It comes from the way we show up for ourselves when things are hard or messy — and from the small, simple habits that help us feel more grounded, grateful, and connected every day.
A few minutes of reflection. A moment of gratitude. Sometimes that’s all it takes to change a day.
